Project-update

Today we got our Raspberry Pi for our group project. Now we start on programming the Pi. We did not get any sensors or actuators for it yet, only the Pi, power supply, and the SD card. First thing to do is to download Rasbian and install it onto the SD card. Then we can start working on some aspects of the project.

Hopefully it all works out. Our new modified material sheet now contains most of what we need to get this project completed.

Project-update

At the moment, we have not gotten any of our components for our project. Stephen and I have honestly considered getting our own components. That way we could keep the project we create. One problem may be the time it takes for all the components to arrive. Still, even if we receive the components late we can still migrate all our work to our own components and carry on from there.

At the moment, nothing is final, all in due consideration. I will see what my colleagues will say.

Project-update

All the proposals are in from all groups now. At the moment, we have no technology or components to work with but they are going to be handed out soon. After we get our components, we can start work on the project. At the moment, even if we had the components, I don’t really know where to start. Hopefully a few Lynda.com tutorials would help.

Project-update

No new development on the project other than my team finally accepting the new project idea. No entirely what I had hoped for but it would have to do. We have came up with a new security idea for your home. I will speak about it in the future. Today we will have our Project lecture and we will see what the lecturer will have to say about our idea. Maybe he can shed some light on whether or not it is a viable idea or not.

Project: update

Currently, my team and I are working on something which may be a viable project idea. The requisition sheet has been completed and we are meeting up today to discuss it in detail. Hopefully this would be a good project.

Project: update

For a Raspberry Pi to be programmed, the main language it uses would be Python. At the moment I am currently studying and learning the language. The language is very powerful with many differences from the other languages we have been thought. Ill keep you posted on my progress. Stay tuned.

Project

Currently, in the second semester of Year 3, we have to develop and design a Project. This is a group project of 2 to 3 people. The project consists of using a Raspberry Pi model 3 B to create an Internet Of Things (IOT) device. At the moment I have gathered a group for the project but we have no proper idea of what we want to do. Some ideas are great but may be quite challenging to complete. Hopefully we will come up with a viable idea.

I will keep you posted on our progress so stay tuned.
